Although a square tail is ideally the best tail for maximum tip time, a noserider with a big square tail can be a bit troublesome when you need to get some responsive turns in. So, basically by combining the two concepts of a pintail, and a square tail, into one tail, you get a thumb tail. It still has a super clean flowy turn that a pintail offers, but with just enough stability to stay perched for a few seconds longer. The Crusoe has been my best selling board yet!
